Point Conception

Point Conception is located in the South Coast region of California, within the Point Conception State Marine Reserve. This gently sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Point Conception biodiversity survey overview

Point Conception is dominated by a mixture of consolidated bedrock, cobble beach, and boulder fields, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of a mixture of consolidated bedrock, boulder fields, cobble beach, and sandy beach. The primary coastal orientation of this site is south-southeast.

Point Conception long-term monitoring overview

Biodiversity Surveys were done in 2019. The Biodiversity Survey grid encompasses one section that is approximately 30 meters (along shore) x 50 meters (seaward).
