Ballena Bay

Ballena Bay is located in California, in San Francisco Bay. This site is near the Yerba Buena Mussel Watch site. This gently sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Ballena Bay is dominated by natural and rip rap boulder fields, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of natural and rip rap boulder fields. The primary coastal orientation of this site is west.

Ballena Bay was established in 2009 and resampled in 2010 as part of a Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA). Photo plot, motile invertebrate, and Fucus size structure surveys were done as part of the NRDA.
