China Cove

China Cove is located in California, in San Francisco Bay. This site is near the Yerba Buena Mussel Watch site. This moderately sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

China Cove is dominated by a mixture of consolidated bedrock and boulder fields, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of a mixture of boulder fields, cobble beach, and sandy beach. The primary coastal orientation of this site is northeast.

China Cove was established in 2007 and resampled in 2009 as part of a Natural Resource Damage Assessment (NRDA).  Point contact, photo plot, motile invertebrate, and Fucus size structure surveys were done as part of the NRDA.
