The Annex site is located adjacent to the Hakai Institute’s Quadra Island Ecological Observatory at the northern end of the Salish Sea in British Columbia.
Long-Term Monitoring Surveys at Annex were established in 2021, and are done by the Hakai Institute. Long-Term monitoring surveys currently target the following species: Pisaster (Ochre Star). In addition, water temperature is monitored at this site. For more information see the Long-Term trends at this site.
