Duck Island Biodiversity Survey findings
Duck Island is located on the central coast of British Columbia, within the Hakai Lúxvbálís Conservancy. This shallow sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Duck Island is dominated by consolidated bedrock, and the area surrounding the site is a mixture of consolidated bedrock and boulder fields. The primary coastal orientation of this site is south.
Biodiversity Surveys were done in 2005, 2017, and 2025 and will be done bi-annually from 2025 onwards. The Biodiversity Survey grid encompasses two sections that are approximately 21 meters (along shore) x 33 meters (seaward), and 6 meters (along shore) x 15 meters (seaward). For more information see the Biodiversity Survey findings at this site.
