Moulds Bay Biodiversity Survey findings
Moulds Bay is located on the eastern shore of Quadra Island, British Columbia, at the northern end of the Salish Sea. It is southeast exposed and topographically complex and consists mostly of bedrock with some boulders and cobble nearby.

Long-Term Monitoring Surveys at Moulds Bay were established in 2021 and are done by the Hakai Institute. Long-Term MARINe surveys currently target the following species: Pisaster (Ochre Star). In addition, water temperature is monitored at this site. For more information see the Long-Term trends at this site.
Biodiversity Surveys were done in 2024 and 2025 by the Hakai Institute and will be conducted annually for at least the next three years. The Biodiversity Survey grid encompasses one section that is approximately 30 meters (along shore) x 25 meters (seaward). For more information see the Biodiversity Survey findings at this site.
