Toby Island Biodiversity Survey findings
Toby Island is located adjacent to Hornby Island, British Columbia in the northern part of the Salish Sea. Toby island has a shallow slope with very few crevices and cracks.

Biodiversity Surveys were done in 2024 and 2025 by the Hakai Institute and will be conducted annually for at least the next three years. The Biodiversity Survey grid encompasses one section that is approximately 30 meters (along shore) x 33 meters (seaward). For more information see the Biodiversity Survey findings at this site.
