Carrington Point is located in the Northern Channel Islands, within the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary, on Santa Rosa Island, California. This site is located in Carrington Point SMR in Channel Islands National Park. This gently sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Carrington Point long-term monitoring overview

Carrington Point is dominated by consolidated bedrock, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of a mixture of a mixture of consolidated bedrock, boulder fields, cobble, and sandy beach. The primary coastal orientation of this site is southeast.

Carrington Point biodiversity overview

Biodiversity Surveys were done by University of California Santa Cruz in 2017. The Biodiversity Survey grid encompasses one section that is approximately 20 meters (along shore) x 20 meters (seaward).
