Sokol Point; Chilean Memorial is located in the Olympic Coast Region of Washington, within Olympic National Park and the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary. This gently sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Sokol Point; Chilean Memorial is predominantly consolidated bedrock, and the surrounding area is comprised of a mixture of consolidated bedrock, boulder fields, and cobble beach. The primary coastal orientation is west/southwest.

Long-Term Monitoring Surveys at Sokol Point; Chilean Memorial were established in 2007, and are conducted by Olympic National Park. Long-Term MARINe surveys currently target the following species: Chthamalus/Balanus (Acorn Barnacles), Mytilus (California Mussel), Pelvetiopsis (Dwarf Rockweed), and Pisaster (Ochre Star).
