English Camp Long-Term trends

English Camp is located in the Washington Salish Sea and is within San Juan Island National Historical Park. This steep site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing a few cracks and folds.

English Camp is dominated by consolidated bedrock, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of a mixture of boulder fields and sandy beach.

Long-Term Monitoring Surveys at English Camp were established in 2009, and are done by Olympic National Park. Long-Term monitoring surveys currently target the following species: Chthamalus/Balanus (Acorn Barnacles) and Semibalanus (Thatched Barnacle). Click here to view Long-Term trends at this site.
