Manchester State Park; Central Puget Sound is located in the Washington Salish Sea. This gently sloping site consists of moderately uneven terrain, containing few cracks and folds.

Manchester State Park; Central Puget Sound is dominated by consolidated bedrock, and the area surrounding the site is comprised of a mixture of consolidated bedrock, boulder fields, and sandy beach. The primary coastal orientation of this site is east.

Long-Term Monitoring Surveys at Manchester State Park; Central Puget Sound were established in 2014, and are done by University of Washington. Long-Term monitoring surveys currently target the following species: Chthamalus/Balanus (Acorn Barnacles), Fucus (Northern Rockweed), and Pisaster (Ochre Star).
